The largest expense for our planned trip to Zambia in August is the cost of the materials necessary to begin construction of a brick schoolhouse for the children of Grippis Farm. Phase One alone of the construction project is a staggering $100,750.00! But with God’s help and the generosity of His people we move forward in confidence. There are two ways you can help in our Brick Campaign.
First, you can purchase one or more bricks with a contribution of $10 each. Buy a brick for yourself, in memory of a departed friend or family member, or in honor of someone special. The names will be written on a paper brick and taken with us to Zambia. As we build the school we will pray over all of the “paper bricks” as we give thanks for your support. They will be a tangible symbol to the people of Grippis Farm of those who love and support them. If you are interested in helping in this way please fill out the attached form and return with your donation.
You can also help spread the word by getting others involved. Ask your church, school or community service organization to hold a fundraiser and build a “wall of bricks”. Offer members the opportunity to purchase bricks for $10 each. Simply choose a blank wall in your meeting facility and as members’ sign their names on the bricks begin to cover the wall with the paper bricks. Set a goal for the number of bricks you wish to sell and watch the wall grow! We will supply everything you need or make a presentation to your congregation or membership. Simply give us a call at 717-278-0979 and we’ll be happy to discuss the project with you.
