Cheyenne River Mission Trip 2019

Have you often wondered how you could make a difference in this world?

The task would seem insurmountable, but if you can make a difference

in one person’s life...

well then you have changed their world!

From July 20th-28th We’re All God’s Children (WAGC) is planning to do just that. We are traveling out west to the Cheyenne River Indian Reservation in South Dakota. This is one of the poorest communities in our country! We have worked with the Lakota Sioux Nation since 2008, offering free vision clinics on Pine Ridge Reservation, also in South Dakota.

We are currently working with the Cheyenne River Youth Project and Takini School to reach the youth on the reservation. We have developed some wonderful relationships with the residents on the reservation and each year we see the positive results the different organizations are having on the youth.

This year, at their request, we hope to bring a team of
volunteers who can facilitate workshops such as the following:

· Building Rockets

· Building Robots

· Dance Classes (Basic & Ballet)

· Social Media Safety & Positive Uses

· STEAM Activities

· Self-Care Workshops

All of these would be held at the Cheyenne River Youth Organization, with young people who are currently enrolled in the program.

Team Leader Karen Moore states, “I guarantee that once you make this trip you will, as I have, leave a part of your heart with these people who have so often been forgotten. In fact, one phrase that I have heard over and over again, is ‘Please don’t forget us.’ I promise you this is an experience that you will not soon forget!”

If this seems like something the Lord is touching your heart to do, please contact Karen Moore at info@wereallgodschildren.org or 540-836-5790.
