We’re All God’s Children has been honored to serve alongside the Lakota Sioux of South Dakota since 2008. Our early work began on the Pine Ridge Reservation, where we offered free vision screenings and eyeglasses, along with medical supplies, books, and warm hats for children.
These initial efforts laid the foundation for long-term relationships rooted in trust, respect, and Christ-centered service.

In 2015, we prayerfully chose to refocus our efforts by partnering with Native-run organizations that were already creating meaningful, lasting change within their communities. After research and relationship-building, we expanded our mission through a partnership with the Cheyenne River Youth Project on the Cheyenne River Reservation.
Founded in 1988, the Cheyenne River Youth Project is a grassroots, nonprofit organization dedicated to providing Lakota youth with access to a vibrant and secure future through culturally grounded and sustainable programs that strengthen families and foster self-sufficient communities.
Our role is to support and strengthen the work already happening—particularly initiatives that inspire hope, pride, and a renewed appreciation for Lakota language, culture, and identity among today’s youth.

Each year, mission teams travel to the Cheyenne River Reservation to serve alongside Youth Project staff and volunteers. Team members work directly with children and youth by preparing special meals and engaging them in fun, creative, and educational activities.
Teams also assist with maintenance projects on Youth Project buildings and help care for the large communal garden, which plays an important role in community food security. A highlight of every year is the Harvest Festival, when the bounty from the gardens is shared with the wider community. Team members joyfully participate in all aspects of preparation and serving, celebrating both relationship and abundance.

We are deeply grateful to have earned the designation of family among our brothers and sisters in the Lakota Sioux tribe.
This honor was formally recognized when two of our Team Leaders were ceremonially inducted as official members of the tribe—a reflection of years of mutual respect, shared faith, and walking together in humility.

In addition to our partnership with the Cheyenne River Youth Project, we are privileged to provide ongoing support to:
Through these partnerships, we help meet practical needs while honoring the dignity, resilience, and wisdom of every individual we serve.

Through partnership, humility, and faith, we seek to reflect God’s love by walking alongside those who are already making a lasting difference.
Our commitment is not to lead from the front, but to listen, support, and serve—guided always by relationship, respect, and Christ-centered love.
